Its increases exposure and as they came up through schooling it was assumed that men had more computer experience than women

When they are driven by commitment of comapany leaders.

They bring different ways of seeing a problem and faster/better ways to solve the problems.

Give an example of how a diverse company can serve a diverse user base or vise-versa.

If a company has diverse builders they can give input about how their culture and life experiences can be represented and that can gather more interest by people of their own culture. An example of this going wrong is youstube just having only right handed devlopers create their iOS App and it ended up creating an app that left handed people found difficult to use.
